Assembly Technician

You will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines, loading/ unloading frequently, and following directions from your supervisor. To do well in this role, you should be physically fit, reliable, a team player, and a hard worker.

• 5 years of experience as a craftsman in Industrial Construction.
• Knowledge of hand tools is required.
• Must be willing to work with and around insulation, including installation as needed.
• Experience supporting welders in the power industry is a plus.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screen - No felonies within the last 7 years.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High School Diploma/GED.

• Perform grinding, drilling, bolting joints, insulation (ceramic & fiberglass) belts, steel plating, metal studs, etc.
• Must be able to read a tape measure & able to calculate piping diameters.
• Learn to install, drill out, bolt on & splice expansion joints.
• Must be able to exhibit on day one your ability to operate various power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, grinders, impact guns, and hydraulic jacks.
• Work on elevated surfaces such as scaffolding, on top of units, in boiler systems, 100+ feet, and in confined spaces.
• Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, diagrams, and sketches.
• The ability to accurately read a measuring tape, follow written/verbal instructions, and communicate with coworkers positively.
• Can communicate effectively with team members, management, and supervisors.

This role will require a large amount of standing, bending, squatting, lifting, and walking constantly. May be required to lift, carry, and move up to 100 lbs. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity.
