Retail Sales, Customer Service Rep
Position Overview
As a Counter Sales/Warehouse Associate, you will assist with customer orders, answer information requests, and manage inventory status. You will review orders for accuracy and communicate any discrepancies to customers promptly and professionally. Additionally, you will assemble products for receiving, storing, shipping, and maintain inventory control.
Responsibilities- Assist and resolve customer requests and problems in a prompt and professional manner.
- Sell products and services; offer add‑on and up‑sell products that benefit the customer and suggest alternative products when requested items are unavailable.
- Maintain merchandise and literature displays.
- Continuously develop knowledge of company product inventory, its location, and sales techniques.
- Stay current on market trends, new products, and application of those products.
- Back up and support inside sales representatives and warehouse personnel as needed.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred:
Previous wholesale electrical distribution product knowledge and sales experience.
- Often standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and stooping.
- Occasional sitting, talking, hearing.
- Use of hands/fingers frequently required.
- Lifting and carrying: continuous 1–20lbs.; frequent 21–50lbs.; occasional 51–100lbs.; use of buddy‑lift or mechanical device advised.
- Vision for operating equipment: close vision (20in or less), distance vision (20ft or more), peripheral vision, depth perception.
