Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for packaging materials and operational supplies across multiple regions
- Build and maintain a competitive supplier network focused on cost efficiency, quality, and reliability
- Lead supplier negotiations, pricing agreements, and contract management initiatives
- Monitor supplier performance metrics, including quality, delivery, responsiveness, and OTIF performance
- Identify and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
- Analyze spend data, market trends, and supplier cost structures to uncover savings opportunities
- Standardize materials and sourcing processes to reduce operational complexity
- Optimize inventory levels across multiple locations while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory
- Partner with Planning teams to align procurement strategies with demand forecasts and crop cycles
- Develop reorder points, safety stock levels, and inventory policies using data‑driven analysis
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, Planning, and regional leadership teams
- Maintain ERP system data integrity and improve purchasing and inventory reporting accuracy
- Develop procurement dashboards and KPIs to track inventory turns, cost savings, and service levels
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field required
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management
- Experience with in agriculture, food manufacturing, produce, or manufacturing environments preferred
- Strong experience managing packaging materials or commodity‑based purchasing categories preferred
- Proven background leading supplier negotiations and delivering measurable cost savings
- Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and Excel required
- Strong analytical and data‑driven decision‑making skills
- Proven ability to manage inventory optimization and procurement planning in fast‑paced environments
- Strong background in supplier management, contract negotiations, and cross‑functional collaboration
- Ability to balance competing priorities involving cost, quality, service, and inventory levels
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with strong attention to detail
