The Director of Pharmacy will lead all aspects of pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing, and supervising services in alignment with hospital policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with hospital leadership to implement innovative pharmacy practices, supported by proprietary CPS software, a dedicated support team including experts in operations, clinical, and regulatory as well as a CPS Area Director or Senior Vice President.

Schedule:

This position is scheduled to work 40 hours a week primarily daytime hours. The position may be required to work some extended hours which may include some evenings and weekends as business necessitates.

About the Facility:
Hendry Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is a Joint Commission-accredited, 25-bed critical access hospital serving Hendry County and surrounding communities. The hospital provides a range of essential acute care services for adults, including emergency care, inpatient medical services, outpatient specialty care, rehabilitation, and diagnostic services, with a focus on personalized, community-based healthcare close to home.

About the Pharmacy:
The Pharmacy is open M-F 8:00am - 7:00pm, Sat and Sun 8:00am - 2:30pm.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all pharmacy services within a single hospital, aligning operations with the hospital's clinical, quality, and financial goals
  • Ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use, overseeing clinical pharmacy practice, medication safety, and formulary management
  • Lead, develop, and hold accountability for pharmacy leadership and staff, including managers, pharmacists, technicians, and support teams
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and legal requirements, including Joint Commission, CMS, USP, BOP and state/federal laws
  • Oversee pharmacy financial performance, including budgeting, purchasing, contract management, and cost-containment initiatives
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and interdisciplinary stakeholders, supporting system-wide patient care, quality, and safety initiatives
  • Drive innovation, performance improvement, and strategic growth, leveraging data, technology, and best practices to advance pharmacy services

Required Qualifications:

  • ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD)
  • Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing or ability to obtain by time of hire
  • Active Florida Consultant Pharmacy license or ability to obtain by start date
  • 2+ years of pharmacy management experience or successful completion of a PGY
    -2 residency
  • Driver's License and access to a reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a pharmacist
  • Hospital pharmacy management experience or successful completion of a PGY-2 residency

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment.
