Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Private Duty - PRN

Complete Home Care is a Medicare‑Certified skilled nursing, therapy, home‑care, and private duty company operating across Florida.

Responsibilities

Promote and exemplify the Company’s mission, vision, and values at all times.

Complete initial and ongoing assessments to identify the physical, psychosocial, and environmental needs of home‑health clients, including OASIS.

Regularly re‑evaluate the client’s nursing needs, assess outcomes of care, and assist clients in the recovery or maintenance of life functions; prevent illness and relapse.

Develop, initiate, and revise the Plan of Care (POC) as necessary, initiate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures, and plan for client discharge.

Provide effective communication to clients, families, team members, and other health‑care professionals, and regularly participate in case conferences.

Apply infection control and universal precaution concepts during client care activities to protect clients and staff (OSHA).

Coordinate services and inform physicians and other personnel of changes in the client’s condition and needs.

Monitor assigned cases to ensure compliance with third‑party payer requirements.

Complete documentation in a timely manner to assure compliance with company policy.

Supervise, teach, and provide clinical direction to other nursing personnel (e.g., LVN/LPN, HHA, CNA).

Perform on‑call responsibilities and provide on‑call services to clients and families as assigned.

Participate in in‑service programs, maintain/improve competency, and demonstrate commitment to professional growth.

Meet mandatory continuing education requirements of the agency and licensing board.

Supervision

LVN/LPNs and CNAs.

Requirements Experience

One (1) year of RN experience in a clinical care setting.
Preferred home‑health experience.

Skills

Proficiency in nursing skills as defined by generally accepted standards of practice.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Demonstrated decision‑making skills.
Hepatitis profile if required for visits.
Reading, writing, and comprehension of English.

Education

Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
Preferred BSN.

Licensure/Certification

Current driver’s license in good standing.
Current State professional RN license in all applicable states.
Current CPR certification.
Ongoing RN employment requires maintaining a valid RN license and CPR certificate; renewal responsibility lies with the employee.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged standing/walking required.
Ability to lift/transfer up to 50 lbs.
Ability to meet deadlines, make rapid decisions, and allocate resources under stress.
Ability to meet patient/family psychosocial needs.
Requires hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Environmental/Working Conditions

Work in patients’ homes in varied conditions.
Possible exposure to blood‑borne pathogens, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
Some exposure to unpleasant weather; PRN emergency call.
Must travel locally and work a flexible schedule.

Machinery/Tools/Equipment Requirements

Reliable transportation and auto liability insurance.
Manual blood pressure cuff.
Stethoscope.
Thermometer.
