Job Description

This is skilled work at the journeyman level regarding the installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, equipment and fixtures across the assigned STOF Buildings and facilities. The incumbent in this position is responsible for performing skilled electrical tasks in accordance with standard electrical trade practices. Duties include working independently with considerable latitude in determining methods of work and using specialized tools and testing instruments of the electrical trade.

Assignments may be verbal or consist of sketches, blueprints and electrical diagrams. Employees are frequently assisted by various skilled and unskilled trades' helpers who assist in various phases of electrical work. High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Prior vocational training or job-related coursework is preferred, or completion of an instructional program that prepares individuals to apply technical electrical knowledge and skills is preferred.

Minimum of one (1) years of experience working as a skilled electrician or related field is required; or any equivalent combination of education/training and experience will be considered. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel to all Reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
