this is a Part-time position, .2 FTE. MN Parent Educator license is required.
General Defintion of WorkPerfomes intermediate professional work planning activities, providing classes, educationg parents, communicationg information, and related work as apparent or assigned. Workd is performed under the limited supervision of the Early Childhood Family Education Coordinator.

Essential Functions- Plans early childhood learning activities.
- Provides ongoing classes for families with young children.
- Provides parent education on various topics of child development.
- Communicates information about schools and community resources.
- Provides fun and educational learning environment for families.
- Encourages parents to share concerns and experiences.
Skills and Abilities
Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of early childhood education programs and procedures; comprehensive knowledge of practices applicable to early childhood educational programs and students; excellent written and oral comminications skills; ability to plan and supervise the work of others; ability to acknowledge students' background knowledge, enviremnemtn and learning goals to adapt teaching and learning methods; ability to use modern office equipment and related software;
ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents, children, co-workers, staff and administrators, advisory board and the general public.
- Bachelors from an accredited college or university and considerable experience working with children and families, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
