Job Overview – Senior Corporate Accountant
Compensation: $80,000–$90,000/year + bonus

Monday to Friday (In-Office)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Corporate Accountant in Burlington County, NJ for our client, supporting corporate accounting, financial reporting, month‑end close, SEC reporting, and internal controls within an established organization. This role will prepare and analyze financial information, maintain general ledger accuracy, support regulatory reporting, and contribute to technical accounting and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has public accounting or public company experience with strong GAAP knowledge and exposure to financial reporting and audit processes.
Responsibilities- Month‑End Close: Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analyses, and supporting schedules for monthly and quarterly close processes.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP.
- External Reporting: Support the preparation and review of external financial reporting and related disclosures.
- Technical Accounting: Research accounting guidance and assist with the application of GAAP to accounting matters and transactions.
- Audit & Controls: Support external audits, internal controls, and related accounting documentation.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting workflows, financial systems, and internal controls.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Certification: CPA certification or progress toward the CPA is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of public accounting, corporate accounting, external audit, or financial reporting experience is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, month‑end close, and internal controls is required.
- Technical
Skills:
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP or financial reporting systems are preferred. - Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, organizational, and attention to detail skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines are required.
