Role:
Site Superintendent
Type of Commute: On-Site (Projects Throughout New Jersey)
Skill Set: Procore, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Project (basic schedule awareness), Plan Reading, Safety Compliance
Desired Industry Experience: 7+ years (Commercial, Medical, Industrial, Residential Construction)
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Site Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial construction projects. The Site Superintendent is responsible for daily site supervision, subcontractor coordination, schedule execution, safety enforcement, and quality control to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise all day-to-day field operations
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and project schedule
- Develop and maintain short-interval (look-ahead) schedules
- Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings
- Enforce site safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site
- Inspect work for quality and compliance with building codes
- Identify and proactively resolve field conflicts and constructability issues
- Maintain daily reports, site logs, and documentation in Procore
- Coordinate inspections and ensure timely approvals
- Drive punch list completion and project closeout
- 7+ years of experience supervising commercial construction projects
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proven experience managing multiple subcontractors simultaneously
- Thorough knowledge of construction sequencing and field logistics
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety requirements
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to maintain project schedule and push accountability in the field
- Experience in healthcare, industrial, or multifamily construction
- OSHA 30 certification (required or willing to obtain)
- Experience on projects $5M–$25M+
- Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management platforms
- Experience managing projects with tight schedules or phased occupancy
