Product Development Intern, Packaging and Labeling Adhesives - Summer 2026

Henkel invites a motivated intern to join our Adhesive Technologies business unit, where we empower our people to transform industries and provide customers with a competitive advantage through adhesives, sealants, and functional coatings.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and optimize adhesive formulations in the lab for consumer goods packaging applications.
  • Conduct sustainability assessments of newly developed adhesives to evaluate environmental impact and recyclability.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align adhesive performance with packaging sustainability goals.
  • Perform testing and analysis to ensure adhesives meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant laboratory environment, following all safety protocols and best practices.
  • Document experimental results and contribute to technical reports, supporting data‑driven decision‑making.
What Makes You a Good Fit
  • A rising junior graduating in 2028, a rising senior graduating in 2027, or a master’s/graduate student pursuing a degree in Packaging Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Knowledge of organic chemistry and material science, with formulation experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of sustainability, especially in packaging and materials.
  • Laboratory experience, including familiarity with safety protocols and equipment.

Additional Information
  • Eligible for a housing stipend or relocation support.
  • Henkel's Summer 2026 internship program starts on May 27, 2026, and runs through mid‑August.
  • Recruitment for 2026 internships begins in late August 2025 and continues through early March 2026 or until all positions are filled.
  • Following the internship, you may be invited to join Henkel as a returning intern or full‑time employee.
Compensation

Salary: $22–$27 per hour (the posted range may be adjusted in the future).
