Senior Building Automation Field Engineer / Team Lead

We are partnering with a leading organization in the building automation space to identify a senior-level Building Automation Field Engineer / Team Lead
. This role is ideal for a highly technical professional who brings strong field leadership, deep BAS expertise, and the ability to mentor engineers while supporting complex HVAC and controls projects.

This individual will serve as a technical leader in the field, working across commissioning, troubleshooting, integrations, customer communication, and team development.

• Lead startup, commissioning, and recommissioning of Building Automation Systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex BAS and HVAC controls issues
• Create, download, modify, and troubleshoot advanced system logic using WebCTRL and associated software
• Support complex mechanical systems including AHUs, chilled water systems, boiler sequencing, and full-building networked controls
• Manage third-party integrations including BACnet, LON, Modbus, N2, and related systems
• Oversee system operation from controllers to sensors, including software loading, alarms, trends, reporting, calibration, and IT/network coordination
• Conduct site-specific training for owners and operators
• Maintain commissioning documentation and accurate as-built drawings
• Mentor Field Engineers and support Field Supervisors across technical development
• Communicate proactively with customers, track project progress, and elevate issues as needed
• Support project turnover to service teams while maintaining strong safety standards on site

• Proven experience leading and mentoring field engineering teams
• Expert-level knowledge of WebCTRL software and building automation system logic
• Strong experience with BAS commissioning, controls troubleshooting, and system integrations
• Advanced understanding of TCP/IP networks, including wireless technology and troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, and electrical blueprints
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power BI

• Additional experience installing advanced building automation controls
• Broader exposure to complex commercial or industrial BAS environments
