Job Description
World-class solenoid and valve manufacturer, seeking a candidate that can perform maintenance and alterations on cutting‑edge products from military and commercial applications throughout the world. The candidate will also be responsible for assembling development test articles for new projects to support the airline aftermarket industry, as well as maintaining the procedures and test stands required to ensure proper operation. The candidate will also work with repair development engineers and repair station management to add parts to the capability list and develop required test procedures and tooling for new products.
GeneralResponsibilities
- Performs Maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alterations in accordance with part 43 on any article for which the Repair Station is rated and within the limitations in its operations specifications.
- Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs precision pneumatics, hydraulics, valve systems, and other components.
- Tests articles and components in accordance with applicable data.
- Verifies completeness of repair documents, quality and workmanship of components and signs for "return to service" on 8130's and Certificate of Conformance documents as directed by the Repair & Overhaul Supervisor or Repair Station Manager.
- Signs for or stamps off on final inspection step on the component traveler/Service summary as directed by the R&O Supervisor or Repair Station Manager.
- Works with Engineering and Repair Administrators to rectify complex customer technical issues.
- Comply with all Government regulations and company policy.
- Performs final inspections as applicable.
- Trains employees as requested.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant License or Repairman's certification.
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.
- Be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Eligibility for Repairman's certification requires 18 months in-house experience, knowledge of 5 LRUs and approval by the FAA.
- Minimum of five years’ experience with mechanical assembly and testing. Preferred experience in an FAA repair station or military aviation mechanical background.
- Must be able to assist in resolution of technical problems with pneumatic, thermal, and hydraulic test setups.
- Basic computer knowledge and some exposure to manufacturing programs.
- Knowledge of basic electrical theory and circuit schematics.
- Knowledge of basic Mechanical mechanisms.
- Knowledge of FAA repair station operations and practice.
- Proficiency in testing, troubleshooting, disassembly, and reassembly of electromechanical equipment.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation including blueprints, manuals, technical specifications.
- Basic computer literacy including proficiency with e‑mail (Outlook).
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used in repair of pneumatic/hydraulic valves.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to ambulate up and down stairs.
- Must be able to transport parts and materials to and from work centers throughout the workplace.
- Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
- Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment.
- Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
