Position Overview
Alternate Investment Services Bank Loans Operations – Senior Associate at State Street Global Services. This role supports Client Operations and shared service teams by monitoring and processing custody related events for fund records, ensuring accurate and timely updates, and providing excellent client service.
Responsibilities- Support and assist Client Operations and other operational shared service teams/center of excellence (COE) by monitoring and processing custody related events to the fund’s records accurately and timely.
- Ensure prompt follow‑up on exception situations and facilitate timely problem resolution to mitigate risk to the corporation and deliver excellent service to clients.
- Perform daily maintenance and record‑keeping for syndicated bank loans held in various mutual fund and other structured portfolios for SSC clients.
- Process trades, book receipts and disbursements, daily reconcile cash balances, and produce daily roll‑forward proof of portfolio holdings and accrual information.
- Prepare standard and ad‑hoc reporting for both internal and external customers.
- Respond to customer queries daily and manage bank loan notices received from agent banks.
- Interact with the investment manager on assigned portfolios, inputting/trading settlements, performing ad‑hoc requests and providing daily reporting per client specific guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with mutual fund counterparts to provide loan‑related reports for NAV calculation.
- Identify unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity and report or elevate in accordance with corporate policy.
- Research and resolve exceptions and issues, communicate effectively with clients, and ensure timely resolution.
- Define and ensure successful completion of ad‑hoc requests.
- Escalate unresolved issues to management as required.
- Perform daily or weekly reporting functions for the team’s activities and ensure adherence to SOPs.
- Maintain knowledge of current alternative procedures and processes; support training of new hires as necessary.
- Assist with workflow management and technology enhancements, and make suggestions to streamline operations.
Salary Range: $52,000 – $94,120 per year (range may differ for other locations).
