The Finance Administrator will ensure fiscal responsibility of the daily parish finances and keep accurate up-to-date records. The role oversees all management of human resource information, bank reconciliation, payroll, accounts receivable/payable, administrative functions, budget preparation, tax filings, diocesan reporting and special filings, and help with fundraising events. A strong sense of attention to detail and the ability to work as a team player are two important qualities for this role.
Employment will be contingent upon complying with the Diocese of Trenton’s Safe Environment training, background check and fingerprinting. This is a part‑time position of 15–25 hrs. per week with a salary range of $20–$25 per hr. based upon field experience.
Key Responsibilities Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and account reconciliationProcess bi‑week payroll and maintain accurate tax and retirement recordsPrepare Financial Statements as neededAttend Financial Council Meetings quarterlyHandle insurance matters for property and personnel benefitsManage, update and train in the use of Parish Soft and PaylocityMeet with Pastor, Staff, and Parish Finance Council as need to discuss parish finances and strategiesHuman resourcesQualifications
Applicable Bachelor’s degree or preferred five years of experienceProficiency in Word, Excel, and any accounting software packagesWillingness to learn Parish Soft and PaylocityStrong knowledge in accounting principles and demonstrated budget management skillsStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to work in team environmentHigh attention to detail with solid keyboarding skillsExcellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skillsPracticing Catholic in good standing, with an understanding of parish culture and structure, preferredDiscretion in handling sensitive personal and financial information#J-18808-Ljbffr
