Public Works Foreman - Pennington Borough.Is seeking a full-time qualified professional to serve as Foreman of Public Works. Under the direction of the Superintendent of Public Works, the Foreman supervises field personnel and assists in planning and completing daily operations involving water, sewer, sanitation, roads, buildings and grounds, and parks and recreation. Responsibilities include supervising and training employees; managing field operations; operating Borough vehicles and equipment, including backhoes and bucket trucks;
inspecting equipment and completed work; coordinating safety training and records; interpreting maps and engineering plans; and communicating professionally with residents, contractors, and Borough officials.
Minimum requirements:
high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, valid New Jersey Class B Commercial Driver’s License, current NJDEP T-1 Water Treatment, W-1 Water Distribution, and C-1 Sewerage Collection licenses, demonstrated ability to supervise public works personnel and safely operate municipal vehicles and equipment, CPWM preferred or ability to complete the Rutgers Public Works Manager Program’s “Management Tasks, Responsibilities, and Practices" course, or equivalent, within one year of appointment.
A comprehensive benefits package including medical, prescription, dental, vision and Life Insurance, as well as paid time off are included. Participation in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) is included. The Borough of Pennington is an EOE. Salary/Hourly $70,000 - $90,000 is commensurate with experience.
