Job Title: Infection Preventionist (IP)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Infection Preventionist (IP) to join our team at Atlas Rehabilitation and Healthcare at Daughters of Miriam Campus in Clifton, New Jersey. As an IP, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest level of patient safety and infection control throughout our facility. Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine rounds to identify potential infection control issues and develop recommendations for improvement

• Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures

• Collaborate with healthcare teams to educate staff on infection prevention and control best practices

• Investigate and resolve infection control incidents, including outbreaks and near-misses

• Collect and analyze data to monitor infection rates and trends

• Develop and maintain relationships with local and national infection control organizations

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and educate staff on quality improvement principles

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• 0+ years of experience in infection prevention and control, preferably in a healthcare setting

• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
