Restaurant General Manager - Barrow House

Role Description

This full-time, on-site position as a Restaurant General Manager at The Barrow House which is located in Clifton, NJ. The Restaurant General Manager will lead daily operations to ensure the delivery of exceptional guest experiences, financial performance, and team growth. Responsibilities include overseeing profit and loss (P&L) management, building and leading a high-performing team, maintaining customer satisfaction, and ensuring operational efficiency.

The manager will also be responsible for hiring and training staff, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with company standards and policies.

• Proven experience in P&L Management and Budgeting
• Strong skills in Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction
• Experience in Hiring, training, and building high-performing teams
• Exceptional leadership abilities with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, compliance standards, and food safety practices
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a keen focus on guest experience
• Proficiency in financial management and cost control strategies
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in hospitality management or related field is a plus

Physical Demands

The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 8 to 10 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
