Bristol-Myers Squibb Company is hiring a(n) Associate Director, Strategic Options and Assessment (in Lawrenceville, NJ).

Duties

Enable value-driven decisions, aid Global Program Teams (GPTs) and decision makers in strategic framing to quantify risk profiles and generate valuation analyses of possible development paths. Empower high-quality decision making, derive insights into the trade-offs among clinical trial development options, and clearly communicate findings to company leadership to impact opportunity level, asset level, therapeutic area level, and enterprise level decision making and maximize pipeline value.

Independently apply therapeutic area expertise, statistical risk assessment (probability of technical success monte carlo modeling), and financial analysis to drive the organization toward high-quality investment decisions at the opportunity and asset level using quantitative models and processes, conducting workshops, and facilitating discussions as a strategic partner to the Global Program Lead (GPL). Manage large workload, covering multiple asset teams which may cover multiple therapeutic areas.

Provide timely updates on projects and TA at internal SOA meetings and use project management tools to track progress and achievements. Establish and maintain healthy working relationships with key stakeholders influencing decisions and prioritizing work. Telecommuting permitted up to 50%.

Requirements

Employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Healthcare, Corporate Finance, Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field, and three (3) years of related work experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or related occupation.

  • Portfolio-level value framing to senior leaders using large data sets, Excel, Powerpoint, and Thinkcell in the Cardiovascular and Immunology therapeutic areas;
  • Utilizing search tools such as Pub Med and Clinical Trials.gov for data analysis, data interpretation, and research into clinical study outcomes within the Cardiovascular and Immunology therapeutic areas;
  • Analyzing complex financial datasets and building valuation and forecasting models, using advanced Excel features such as charts and pivot tables;
  • Optimizing clinical trial designs to maximize value through valuation using Excel and Palisade Decision Tools Suite.
  • Creating decision trees for clinical trials using Palisade Decision Tools Suite (Precision Tree);
  • Governance processes relating to mid-stage and late-stage drug development processes;
  • Conducting Monte Carlo simulations and biostatistical analysis of probability of technical success for Phase 2 and Phase 3 clinical trial outcomes using @RISK;
  • Conducting data analysis, data simplification, and storytelling using thinkcell for late-stage drug development trial Phase 2 studies and Trial Phase 3 studies to gain budget approval.
