** Job Description
** We are seeking an experienced
** Business Systems Analyst (BSA)
** with a strong background in
** Data Engineering and Data Warehousing projects**. The ideal candidate will serve as a critical liaison between business stakeholders, data engineering teams, and IT organizations to ensure that data-driven solutions are aligned with business objectives and delivered effectively.

This role requires a blend of business analysis expertise, data domain knowledge, stakeholder management, and technical understanding of modern data platforms, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting solutions.##

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements.
* Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for data engineering teams.
* Define business rules, data use cases, KPIs, and success criteria.
* Work closely with Data Engineers, Architects, and Developers on data integration, ETL/ELT, data pipeline, and data warehousing initiatives.
* Analyze and document data flows, source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and data lineage.
* Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder meetings, and solution review sessions.
* Act as the primary liaison between business users, data teams, and IT stakeholders.
* Create and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), user stories, process flows, data dictionaries, and related documentation.
* Ensure alignment between business expectations and delivered solutions.
* Support data governance, data quality, security, and compliance initiatives.
* Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), data validation, and defect resolution activities.
* Collaborate with BI and Analytics teams to support dashboards, reporting, and data visualization requirements.
* Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across reporting and analytical platforms.
* Support Agile project delivery and participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and requirement refinement sessions.##

Skills & Experience:

*** 8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Business Analyst, with significant experience supporting Data Engineering or Data Warehousing projects.
* Strong understanding of Business Analysis methodologies, requirements management, and stakeholder engagement.
* Hands-on experience with data integration, ETL/ELT processes, and enterprise data platforms.
* Advanced SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
* Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.
* Experience with data mapping, data lineage, metadata management, and transformation logic.
* Knowledge of data quality frameworks and data validation techniques.
* Experience working with data warehouses and data lake technologies such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Big Query, or similar platforms.
* Exposure to cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP.
* Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or similar technologies.
* Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.
* Experience using JIRA, Azure Dev Ops, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.##
