Level 3 Sr. Supervisor is responsible for translating high-level program objectives into executable production floor plans that align with organizational priorities. This role requires the ability to clearly communicate priorities, drive execution across multiple functions, and ensure production schedules meet program demands. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of MRP principles, supply and demand fundamentals, and the ability to analyze data to identify trends impacting work‑in‑progress (WIP).
EssentialFunctions
- Partner with cross‑functional teams—Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering—to aggressively drive program priorities and resolve constraints.
- Manage and coordinate the timely movement of hardware to and from test and engineering labs, ensuring accurate location scan accuracy and traceability throughout the process.
- Oversee the creation and accuracy of material inventory transactions to ensure proper demand signals within MRP system.
- Utilize MRP systems to plan, monitor, and adjust schedules based on evolving supply and demand conditions.
- Identify and communicate potential risks to schedule performance, proposing mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and deliver clear, concise presentations to leadership and stakeholders regarding production status, risks, and recovery plans.
- Lead operational containment and execution strategies during Engineering Change Order (ECO) implementations to minimize schedule and production impacts.
- Extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets in Microsoft Excel to assess WIP trends and highlight positive or negative performance drivers.
- Monitor material availability, capacity constraints, and resource allocations to ensure schedule adherence.
- Support continuous improvement efforts aimed at increasing schedule accuracy, reducing cycle time, and improving delivery performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 5+ years of experience in production control, planning, or related operations roles.
- Strong working knowledge of MRP systems and supply/demand planning principles.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, both verbally and through professional presentations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis functions.
- Demonstrated success in influencing and driving priorities in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to make data‑driven decisions under pressure.
- Experience in a manufacturing or defense/aerospace production environment
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
