Role:
Perform general operating maintenance, service, and repair of interior and exterior community facilities in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.
- Maintain HVAC, elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, generators, landscaping, kitchen equipment, and emergency pull cord equipment.
- Conduct general maintenance projects, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and equipment repair.
- Respond to resident maintenance requests for plumbing, electrical, heating, and light bulb replacement.
- Repair and maintain vacated rooms, including painting walls and cleaning carpets.
- Ensure walls, floor coverings, doors, and woodwork in common areas are properly maintained.
- Communicate with local fire marshal, building inspector, state elevator inspector, and other governing jurisdictions.
- Assess plumbing and electrical problems and determine best corrective action.
- Document safety issues and physical plan deficiencies per local, county, and federal guidelines.
- Respond to management and community emergencies as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of related experience and/or training.
- Knowledge of building equipment, codes, HVAC, plumbing, electrical in healthcare facilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Full‑time position (40+ hours per week) involving preventive maintenance, equipment repair, and operational efficiency for laundry operations.
