Join our award‑winning hospitality‑driven real‑estate brand to maintain AVE Brand Standards of cleanliness and presentation. As a porter, you will ensure a positive, safe and organized work environment across our luxury flexible‑stay communities nationwide.
Job Responsibilities- Clean designated assigned amenity spaces and indoor/outdoor areas. This includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, dusting, polishing furniture, cleaning glass, and more.
- Troubleshoot/repair resident service requests, including appliance repair, HVAC repair, plumbing, and electrical issues.
- Maintain community exterior maintenance and presentation, such as watering flowers, leaf clean‑up, keeping breezeways clean, trash pick‑up, and related duties.
- Assist maintenance with suite turnover and work requests—changing light bulbs, painting, caulking, shampooing carpet, furniture placement, replacing HVAC filters, etc.
- Provide after‑hours maintenance coverage as needed, following an on‑call rotation schedule.
- Respond to community emergencies outside normal business hours, e.g., flood, fire, power loss, etc.
- Ensure snow removal so the community remains clear and accessible during snowfalls.
Must be available to work the required full‑time schedule of Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with on‑call rotation.
Job Requirements- Minimum of one to two years of janitorial or maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repairs, etc.).
- Strong guest‑service skills.
- Energetic, self‑motivating, and a “can‑do” positive attitude.
- High‑level cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Reliable source of transportation for on‑call rotation and community emergencies.
- Proficiency in English strongly preferred.
- $18+/hour
Individual compensation decisions will vary as the hourly base compensation range provided is approximate and determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications, education, and geographic location. AVE also offers additional bonus potential paid out on a monthly and/or quarterly basis (dependent upon the position), which is not included in the base compensation range listed above.
