Logistics Manager - Clifton, NJ
, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay range: $102,520 - $136,163 / year. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

- Capable of performing all duties and responsibilities of the Logistics Supervisors, Sr. Logistics Supervisors, and Logistics Manager I.

- Communicates and interacts regularly with Supervisors and employees; disseminates information in a timely manner.
- Oversees performance-oriented supervision, training, coaching, and development of new employees and staff on all job duties, compliance, and annual competency requirements.
- Maintains logistics services for specimen pickup within area of responsibility.
- Provides short/long term planning for the logistics area to meet departmental requirements and client needs.
- Prioritizes logistics activities to meet deadlines.
- Ensures required trainings are completed by self and staff (e.g., Compliance, Safety, Safe Driver).
- Accountable for hiring and onboarding exempt staff.
- Accountable for ensuring departmental performance standards through training, coaching and performance management.
- Works with Director to analyze and develop a departmental budget for manpower and operational costs.
- Develops and maintains effective communications with internal and external clients.
- Adheres to department budget and ensures accuracy of invoice and expense coding; maintains payroll records.
- Maintains required records and documentation; complies with company and departmental policies, safety, compliance, vehicle, employee handbook, and quality assurance standards.
- Demonstrates organizational commitment and holds a valid State driver’s license with a driving record meeting Quest Driver’s Safety requirements.
Required
Work Experience:
- 10+ years in logistics field
- 10 years Leadership/Supervisory experience
- 5-8 years managerial experience specifically in Logistics field
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Position requires travel
- Must be flexible and available based on staffing requirements; including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime
- Occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds
- May require extended periods of focus, sitting or standing
- Ability to manage stress and handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting
Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
- Proficiency with OSP, QDTrac, People Soft and other Quest Diagnostics IT systems
Skills:
