NDT Level 2 Radiographic Inspector

The NDT Level 2 Radiographic Inspector is responsible for performing non-destructive testing on aerospace-grade aluminum castings, ensuring compliance with established standards and acceptance criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform NDT on aluminum castings using assigned techniques, adhering to industry standards and processing procedures.
• Perform required process controls as required by internal procedure or industry standards of ASTM E 1742.
• Process and inspect aluminum castings to identify defects or discontinuities based on established acceptance criteria – most common AMS 2175
• Accurately document inspection findings, including reports of noted defects, locations, and severity levels.
• Follow internal NDT procedure and related QMS procedures, maintaining proper documentation and records
• Provide guidance and training to Level I technicians on NDT procedures and techniques.

Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• NDT Level II certification in Radiographic Inspection (Film or Digital methods), per NAS 410.
• 3–5 years of experience in NDT of materials.
• Proficient in operating NDT equipment and interpreting inspection specifications such as ASTM E 1742 and AMS 2175.
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of basic shop mathematics and dimensional inspection tools.
