Position Summary

Our client, a growing beverage and bottling manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join its production team. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on bottling, packaging, and production equipment to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience working in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment quickly to minimize production downtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on bottling, filling, labeling, packaging, and production equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems
• Diagnose equipment failures and perform repairs to minimize downtime
• Maintain and repair motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, compressors, and production machinery
• Replace bearings, belts, chains, sprockets, rollers, and other mechanical components
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance documentation
• Perform equipment changeovers and production line adjustments
• Assist with the installation and startup of new equipment
• Complete maintenance logs, work orders, and preventative maintenance records
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all OSHA and company safety procedures
• Work closely with production personnel to maximize equipment performance and efficiency

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience maintaining bottling, food production, beverage, packaging, or similar production equipment is highly preferred
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, and mechanical drive systems
• Basic electrical troubleshooting experience is a plus
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
• Ability to read mechanical schematics and technical manuals
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
• Excellent attendance, reliability, and work ethic
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a food, beverage, bottling, or packaging facility
• Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment is a plus
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
• Forklift certification is a plus
• Experience with preventative maintenance software (CMMS) is preferred
