  • Permanent position for a CNC Programmer to program multi-axis machining processes and drive manufacturing process improvement at a precision metal manufacturing company.
  • Program 3-, 4- and 5-axis CNC machining centers and wire EDM equipment using CAM software.
  • Continuously improve machining processes through optimized toolpaths, feeds, speeds and tool selection to reduce cycle times and extend tool life.
  • Design fixtures, electrodes and special tooling in 3D CAD to reduce setup times and improve repeatability and part quality.
  • Identify and eliminate waste in setups, workflow and part flow using Lean methods.
  • Support new product introduction and first article runs, building manufacturability improvements into processes before release to production.
  • Prepare and standardize process sheets, tool lists, in-process inspection sketches and setup documentation for new and repeat jobs.
  • Provide cycle time estimates for quoting and work with Design Engineering, Quality and Production to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
    Associate degree in Machine Tool Technology or Manufacturing Engineering Technology preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience on 3-, 4- and 5-axis machining centers, with a hands-on setup background at the Class A machinist level.
  • Proficiency with Mastercam or equivalent CAM software, including wire EDM programming.
  • Demonstrated record of manufacturing process improvement, such as cycle time, setup time or scrap reduction.
  • Strong command of GD&T and print interpretation for tight-tolerance components.
  • Experience designing fixtures and tooling in Solid Works or Creo.
  • Experience programming laser/punch combination machines and sheet metal nesting software a plus.
  • Additive manufacturing for fixtures, Lean or Six Sigma training and ISO 13485 or similar regulated environments a plus.
