Hours:
Tuesday to Saturday;
Outreach 2-3 days a week; flexible schedule(e.g., 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm).
City Relief is seeking an Ameri Corps Service Member to help strengthen the connection between our Outreach and Volunteer Services programs. This hands-on service role combines direct community outreach with a focused project to improve volunteer onboarding, day-of training, resources, and systems.
What You’ll Do- Participate in City Relief outreach and engage with neighbors experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.
- Learn City Relief’s outreach operations, guest services, volunteer experience, and community resource systems.
- Help evaluate and improve volunteer onboarding and day-of-training processes.
- Support the development of training materials, documentation, and the Outreach Training Manual.
- Use tools such as Asana and City Relief systems to identify gaps and improve coordination.
- Help create sustainable resources that can continue beyond your Ameri Corps service term.
You should be relational, organized, adaptable, and comfortable serving in both administrative and hands‑on outdoor outreach settings. Strong communication skills, comfort learning digital tools, and a commitment to serving people with dignity and compassion are important. Spanish/English bilingual skills are welcomed but not required unless otherwise specified by the Ameri Corps program.
This role is an Ameri Corps Member placement hosted at City Relief and sponsored by St. Paul's CDC. It is distinct from City Relief staff employment, an internship, or a traditional volunteer opportunity. Ameri Corps program eligibility, stipend, education award, and enrollment requirements are administered through St. Paul's CDC.
