We are seeking an engaged, collaborative, and mission‑driven Nurse Manager to support our Asbury Park and Red Bank Community Health Centers. This is an opportunity to lead with purpose—supporting clinical excellence, nurturing a strong team culture, and ensuring that every patient receives safe, reliable, patient‑centered care.

As a Nurse Manager
, you play a pivotal role in shaping the patient experience and supporting the clinical team. You’ll guide and mentor staff, strengthen workflows, champion quality improvement, and help create an environment where both patients and employees feel valued and supported.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Support

  • Foster a positive, professional, mission‑aligned work environment.
  • Supervise CMAs, RNs, LPNs, Vaccine Coordinators, and other assigned staff.
  • Provide effective onboarding, ongoing training, and skills development for non‑provider clinical staff.
  • Lead efficient team meetings, huddles, and communication touchpoints.

Clinical Oversight

  • Support care coordination and clinical decision‑making to ensure high‑quality patient outcomes.
  • Provide direct patient care within RN scope as needed.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to improve patient care processes; participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Operational Management

  • Evaluate clinical competency for 90‑day and annual performance reviews; document results and provide coaching or remediation.
  • Maintain required logs, records, and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with management and monitoring of clinical supplies and equipment.
  • Oversee the environment of care, ensuring adherence to infection control, safety, and emergency response policies.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of vaccine coordination processes—including VFC and private inventory management, temperature monitoring, NJIIS documentation, and VFC site survey requirements.

Workforce Development

  • Participate in the CMA externship program to support recruitment and retention of qualified clinical support staff.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed to support clinic operations.
Qualifications
  • RN; BSN required
  • 3+ years of clinical nursing experience
  • 1+ year of ambulatory care experience, FQHC preferred
  • 1+ year of supervisory/ managerial experience
  • Current BLS certification
  • Valid NJ driver’s license and reliable transportation

In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the total compensation range for this position is USD $80,000 to USD $135,000.
