Overview
Serenity Hospice Care has patients in facilities all over NJ. We seek volunteers to increase their quality of life in a positive way. We work around your schedule, time and location preferences. You do not need any experience—we will teach you everything you need to know. You can contribute by companionship, reading, watching TV, talking, listening; it all makes a difference.
If you have special talents such as pet therapy, music, art, knitting, these are appreciated as well.
There are two types of volunteers:
- Administrative Volunteers: Various office duties including filing, phone work, supply organization, etc. (Located at 1670 Whitehorse Hamilton Square Road, Hamilton, NJ 08690)
- Direct Patient Volunteers: Visit patients in facilities. Offer companionship by simply listening, talking, reading or watching TV. If you would like to share your special talents such as pet therapy, music, art, or knitting, that would be greatly appreciated. We reimburse you for all travel time.
Our Volunteers are part of our family. We will be there for you every step of the way to support you and assist you. We want you to be happy and successful. Volunteering with Serenity Hospice Care will surely be rewarding for you as it will be for the patient.
