Per Diem Nurse Practitioner – Pulmonary Critical Care
Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non‑profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join the Centra State Pulmonology Critical Care team at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold, New Jersey. The team includes five pulmonologists, seven nurse practitioners, and dedicated support staff serving the 16‑bed Intensive Care Unit at Centra State Health System.
Responsibilities- Work at least two shifts per month, with additional shifts as needed.
- Provide immediate, high‑quality ICU care in collaboration with the pulmonology team.
- Manage the critical care unit in collaboration with attending physicians.
- Write consult and follow‑up notes.
- Perform central line, arterial line, and HD catheter insertions.
- Additional procedures such as intubation, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube, and lumbar puncture are preferred but not mandatory.
