Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Unit Manager Schedule & Benefits
  • Schedule:

    Full-time, day shift, Monday–Friday, plus weekend on-call rotation

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Unit Manager Qualifications
  • Current, unencumbered New Jersey Practical Nurse license

  • Current AHA BLS CPR certification recommended

  • Strong leadership skills with 3+ years of subacute/long-term care experience required

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Unit Manager Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, and direct nursing services for residents on the assigned unit

  • Review complaints and grievances made or filed by staff and make appropriate reports to the Director of Nursing as required

  • Ensure an adequate stock of medications, medical supplies, and equipment is maintained on the unit to meet resident needs

  • Manage staff assignments, conduct nursing rounds throughout the shift, and provide leadership and support to the nursing team

  • Provide education to staff, residents, and resident family members as needed

  • Assist in the development of preliminary and comprehensive nursing assessments for each resident

  • Track treatments and resident progress according to HIPAA guidelines

  • Coordinate with supervising physicians to ensure a smooth recovery process for residents

  • Ensure staff perform all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, or Administrator
