TAG Med Staffing is hiring a Neurology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant in Monmouth County, NJ for our client, supporting outpatient neurological evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing patient management. This role provides care to pediatric and adult patients with a broad range of neurological conditions while working collaboratively with a physician and clinical team. The position offers significant clinical autonomy and responsibility for managing an established outpatient neurology caseload.
Responsibilities as the Neurology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant:
- Patient Evaluation: Perform comprehensive neurological assessments for pediatric and adult patients presenting with new or ongoing conditions.
- Clinical Management: Diagnose and manage common neurological disorders, including headaches, seizure disorders, cognitive conditions, neuropathies, and movement disorders.
- Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans, manage medications, and provide ongoing education to patients and families.
- Diagnostic Testing: Order, review, and interpret appropriate laboratory testing, imaging, and neurological studies to support diagnosis and treatment.
- Patient Follow-Up: Monitor treatment response, evaluate changes in symptoms, and adjust care plans based on clinical findings.
- Clinical
Collaboration:
Coordinate with physicians and clinical staff to support efficient, comprehensive, and patient-centered neurological care.
Qualifications for the Neurology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant:
- Education: Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program is required.
- Licensure: Active New Jersey Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license is required.
- Certification: Current board certification appropriate to the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant discipline is required.
- Experience: 2+ years of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience within neurology or a related clinical specialty is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of neurological assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and patient care is required.
- Technical
Skills:
Proficiency with electronic health records, clinical documentation, diagnostic information, and medication management is required.
