Company OverviewOur client is one of the largest fence installation companies in the Northeast, a 45-plus-year-old family brand doing $5 to $6 million per year with a clear mandate to triple revenue. The company installs fencing, decking, and railing for homeowners across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, backed by strong daily ad spend and consistent inbound lead flow. They are hiring a hands‑on Sales Manager to build the inside sales motion, then recruit and ramp a team of 10 to 15 outside reps.
The owner is a modern, performance‑minded operator who wants a true player‑coach, not a corporate manager.
- Lead and develop a team of 6 outside sales reps selling in‑home to homeowners on inbound, ad‑driven appointments
- Build and manage the inside sales team: 4 appointment setters plus a dedicated rehash rep
- Own lead scoring, speed to lead, show rates, follow‑up cadences, and daily activity standards
- Recruit, hire, train, and ramp 10 to 15 new sales reps as the company scales
- Run ride‑alongs, live call reviews, manager callbacks, and weekly trainings built from real objections
- Manage scorecards, KPIs, and end‑of‑day reporting in Go High Level
- Report directly to the owner with full ownership of sales performance
- Proven sales leadership in home services or in‑home consultative sales (fencing, roofing, HVAC, pest control, solar, or similar)
- Track record as a top closer who still gets on the floor and demonstrates, not just manages
- Experience scaling a small or fast‑growth sales team, with proof of performance
- Comfortable building systems from scratch: SOPs, scorecards, comp‑driven accountability
- Fluent in modern sales training methodology and KPI‑driven management
- High urgency and raw horsepower; corporate‑pace operators will not fit
- Local to South Jersey or able to work on‑site daily
- $100,000 to $120,000 annual base salary, depending on experience
- 2.5% of company gross profit, plus 0.5% of revenue above $10M as the company scales
- Estimated year‑one total earnings of approximately $175,000 to $200,000
