THE ROLE

The purpose of the Field Education Business Manager (FEBM), Key Accounts role is to develop and execute strategic education initiatives that drive long-term business growth within national and regional key account partners. This role leverages education as a business-building tool to strengthen customer partnerships, accelerate brand adoption, increase consumption, and support mutually beneficial growth objectives.

The FEBM serves as the primary education lead for assigned key accounts, collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing, and customer leadership teams to develop and implement annual education strategies aligned with customer business goals and Wella Company priorities. Responsibilities include creating joint business education plans, identifying growth opportunities through education, and ensuring execution of programs that drive volume, revenue, loyalty, and market share growth.

This role acts as a strategic consultant and business partner, overseeing education planning, resource allocation, customer engagement strategies, and performance measurement across key accounts. The role is responsible for managing education investments, business impact commitments, and education-related customer initiatives, while guiding the effective deployment of educators and educational resources.

The FEBM partners with cross-functional teams to support national and regional customer events, new product launches, conversions, business development initiatives, and customized education programs designed to achieve customer and company objectives. Success in the role is measured through customer growth, education plan execution, business impact, customer retention, and contribution to overall Key Account sales objectives.

Represent Education internally and externally with hairdressing credibility.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop annual Education plans for each account to create strong relationships with the customer to deliver objectives through education and drive vertical and horizontal distribution across all customer types.
  • Work cross-functionally to get the appropriate resources to execute best-in-class education
  • Plans, organizes, and ensures delivery of Education training and events to increase/generate sales of Wella brands.
  • Partners with Sales to leverage Education as a key business driver across all customer types and business models.
  • Coaches and mentors customer Brand Educators when necessary to ensure “Best in Class” Education is delivered to our customers.
  • Manages budget for seminars, travel & entertainment, and office supplies/samples
  • Business savvy and has the ability and desire to grow our business via sales.
  • In touch with trends, current thinking, and new news within the beauty industry.
  • Awareness of the competitive landscape.
  • Able to successfully plan and manage time/zone/route themselves and the Independent Contractor team executing events and in-salon activities
  • Is versatile, can adjust to fit with changing situations and manage ambiguity.
