Job DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated Field Service Technician to support the installation, startup, troubleshooting, and customer training of Bottle Unscrambler systems at customer manufacturing facilities. This role involves frequent travel and requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and a customer-focused approach. The Field Service Technician will ensure successful equipment installations, provide technical support, and train operators and maintenance personnel on proper machine operation and maintenance.
Responsibilities- Travel to customer sites to install, start up, and commission Bottle Unscrambler equipment.
- Verify machine performance and ensure equipment meets customer requirements.
- Coordinate with customers, project managers, contractors, and internal teams during installations.
- Conduct machine inspections, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and controls-related issues.
- Perform machine adjustments and optimize equipment performance.
- Document service activities, findings, and corrective actions.
- Provide onsite and remote technical support to customers.
- Train operators and maintenance personnel on machine operation, changeovers, preventative maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships through professional service.
- Communicate customer feedback and equipment performance concerns to engineering teams.
- Identify opportunities for equipment and process improvements.
- 3+ years of experience installing, servicing, troubleshooting, or maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial machinery.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service documentation.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clifton, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
