Data Engineering Lead - Systematic Hedge Fund - TC

You are building a data function from the ground up at one of the leanest, most ambitious systematic funds in the market.

This is a multi-$bn fund with fewer than 40 people. Every person here has an elite background and the trading is fully automated across futures, FX, ETF and equities. The only manual work is fixing errors which speaks for itself.

You are coming in as the lead on data engineering and you are starting from scratch. That means real ownership, real decisions and a real chance to shape something that will sit at the core of how this fund operates for years to come. The firm is at an inflection point, growing fast and building toward becoming a next generation trading firm so there's no better time to get in than now.

Because the team is so small, decisions move quickly and the structure is flat. You will not be navigating politics or waiting months for sign-off. You build it, you own it.

On the technical side, you are deeply comfortable in Python and you know your way around Linux. You have spent time in trading environments and, ideally, have a strong grasp of equities specifically. You have a computer science degree or equivalent grounding that gives you solid fundamentals, not just familiarity with tools. This is a hands-on lead role. There is no large team beneath you to delegate to on day one, so you are someone who is comfortable at the keyboard as much as in the conversation.

This is a step up in scope and ownership, not just a title change.
