Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer — Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer with 13 years of hands‑on experience in Oracle database development and strong experience in COBOL and mainframe technologies . The ideal candidate should have expertise in designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting complex enterprise applications, including legacy system modernization and integration between COBOL/Mainframe and Oracle-based applications

• Design, develop, test, and maintain complex Oracle PL/SQL applications
  .
• Develop and optimize stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and views
  .
• Write and tune complex SQL queries for high-performance database applications.
• Analyze and resolve database performance and production issues
  .
• Work extensively with COBOL programs and Mainframe applications
  .
• Support and enhance legacy COBOL applications and integrate them with modern Oracle-based systems.
• Participate in data migration, ETL, and system modernization projects
  .
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, QA teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
• Provide production support, troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and issue resolution.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership when required.

• 13 years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL Development
• Strong expertise in:
• Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
• Stored Procedures, Packages, Functions, Triggers
• Performance Tuning and Query Optimization
• Oracle Database Development
• Strong hands‑on experience with COBOL programming
  .
• Experience working with Mainframe technologies
  .
• Knowledge of JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM is highly preferred.
• Experience with ETL, data migration, and data integration
  .
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and production support processes.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.

• Experience in banking, financial services, insurance, or other large enterprise environments
  .
• Experience with legacy system modernization and migration from Mainframe/COBOL to Oracle or modern platforms
  .
• Experience with tools such as TOAD, SQL Developer, or similar database development tools
  .
