Under direction of the Road Division, we are seeking a candidate to perform semi‑skilled and skilled labor tasks along the 300 miles of roads owned and maintained by the County of Morris.
Responsibilities- Basin repair and reconstruction
- Pothole patching, paving of small road sections, and road sweeping
- Salting and parking lot plowing, line stripping, and road blocking for equipment operation
- Salt loading, grass and brush cutting along the county’s right of ways
- Guiderail repairs, drainage improvements, and storm water management
- Traffic control and use of equipment such as sweepers, skid steers, jack hammers, saws, loaders, backhoes, paving boxes, hot boxes, generators, forklift, and roadside mowers
- Adherence to proper work zone safety standards
- Class B or A commercial driver’s license (CDL) at all times
- Ability to read and write in English
Current reporting garage location:
County Garage, 120 East Hanover Avenue, Cedar Knolls.
