- Ability to deal with the public.
- Other qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.
- New Jersey residence within one year from date of hire.
- Conform with all state laws and regulations regarding school transportation.
- Maintain safety standards in conformance with state and insurance regulations.
- Recruit and supervise all transportation personnel.
- Cooperate with school principals and others responsible for planning special school trips.
- Develop and administer a transportation program to meet all requirements of the daily instructional program and extracurricular activities.
- Develop and administer a contractual transportation program to meet all requirements of the daily instructional program and extracurricular activities.
- Prepare and update bus schedules.
- Authorize purchases in accordance with budgetary limitations and district rules.
- Approve and forward transportation services invoices to the School Business Administrator/Board Secretary.
- Submit all reports required by state authorities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.
