SummaryClintondale Community Schools is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Physical Education/Health Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will inspire students in grades [6–12] to develop physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyle habits through engaging and developmentally appropriate instruction.
CompensationThe compensation is outlined in the CEA collective bargaining master agreement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive physical education curriculum aligned with state and national standards
- Teach a variety of physical activities, sports, and fitness concepts
- Promote student engagement, safety, and inclusion in all activities
- Assess and monitor student progress and provide regular feedback
Maintain a safe and organized gymnasium, field, and equipment environment - Support school-wide initiatives, extracurricular sports, and wellness programs
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Participate in professional development and staff meetings
- Valid teaching certificate with Physical Education and Health endorsements
- Knowledge of effective teaching methods for English learners
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may deem appropriate and acceptable
