Cross Country Education is hiring dedicated Special Education Teachers for two full-time self-contained classroom openings in Clinton Township, Michigan for the  school year. Available Openings

• K-2 Self-Contained Classroom
• 3-5 Self-Contained Classroom
• Teacher Professional Development: August 31, September 1 & September 2, 2026
• Students Begin: September 7, 2026
• Schedule: 35 hours per week
• Compensation: $45-$50/hour (W-2, paid weekly)

What You'll Do

• Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning and behavioral needs in a self-contained classroom setting.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals.
• Differentiate instruction to support academic, behavioral, social, and functional growth.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
• Foster a structured, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.

Classroom Support

• Maximum caseload of 15 students
• Two paraprofessionals assigned to each classroom for daily instructional and behavioral support

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan teaching license - with any Special Education Endorsement
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
• Ability to develop and implement effective IEPs
