High School Science Teacher

Summary

Reed City High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join our Coyote family. We are looking for an educator who will bring our mission to life: providing a diverse education with equitable opportunities in a supportive environment. We are looking for an educator who enjoys working with high school students, values strong relationships, and creates a classroom where students feel challenged, supported, and inspired to succeed.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
• Must be qualified and hold a valid Michigan Teacher Certificate with appropriate Science (DI)/(DX) endorsement, an additional endorsement in Math (EX)/(EQ), preferred.

• Plan and deliver instruction using evidence-based instructional strategies and district curriculum
• Create and maintain a collaborative classroom environment
• Capacity to align curriculum, instruction, and assessments while responding to the individual needs of students
• Assess and evaluate student growth through varied formative and summative methods, utilizing data to guide instruction, differentiate support, and celebrate student success.
• Actively participate in RCAPS professional development to enhance teaching practices and stay current with best practices in instruction
• Maintain reliable and consistent attendance
• Other duties as assigned
