Open Position: (1) RESOURCE ROOM TEACHER –Clintondale High School

SUMMARY

Looking fora dynamic teacher who will be responsible for working with special needs students such as those who have learning, physical, emotional or mental disabilities or challenges ina high school resource room setting.

COMPENSATION

The compensation is outlined in the  CEA collective bargaining master activity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess individual students to determine the most appropriate teaching strategies and develop a teaching plan, (Individual Development Plan – IDP).
• Communicates with parents to discuss student progress
• Participates in curriculum development programs as required
• Attends staff meetings as required by the Building Principal
• Other duties as assigned by the Building Principal and Director of Special Education.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Certificate, license or other legal credential required
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may deem appropriate and acceptable

Immediately or as soon as possible
