The System Layout Designer is responsible for the development and ongoing management of plant and system layouts for designated projects. Your primary goal is to generate comprehensive layouts that incorporate every necessary element for successful system construction at both customer and supplier facilities. The System Layout Designer is responsible for the development and ongoing management of plant and system layouts for designated projects. Your primary goal is to generate comprehensive layouts that incorporate every necessary element for successful system construction at both customer and supplier facilities. It is essential that all designs align with established CAD, safety, and build specifications.

• Develop and update system layouts for projects, including PLM releases, fencing, tooling locations, and cable trays.
• Ensure all necessary equipment for system construction is integrated into the layout.
• Participate in Open Issues Meetings while providing current layout plots.
• Conduct occasional site visits to verify the placement and location of existing equipment.
• Communicate any layout modifications to the broader team.
• Facilitate reach studies by distributing preliminary layouts to the simulation department.
• Incorporate robot hard stops, maximum reach, and placement data provided by simulation teams.
• Manage equipment placement and procurement through the PLM system.
• Help ensure manufacturing teams receive accurate and finalized system layouts.
• Maintain compliance with all customer safety, design, and CAD standards.
• Verify system placement at customer and supplier sites through necessary field inspections.
• Deliver installation documentation to the customer.
• Support a safe working environment by identifying hazards and adhering to environmental regulations.
• Contribute to the Quality System and support ongoing process improvements.

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or a combination of relevant training and one to two years of experience.
