Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and optimization of supply chain operations for Fielmann USA. Analyze supply chain performance and provide solutions to ensure inventory levels meet business objectives. Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and shippers. Develop reporting and processes focused on key performance metrics related to supply chain initiatives. Focuses include demand planning, inventory optimization, supplier performance, and cost efficiency to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

SUPPLY CHAIN OPERATIONS

  • Analyze supply chain data related to demand, inventory, logistics, and procurement to identify areas of supply chain operations that have need of improved efficiency
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as service level, inventory turnover, lead time, and cost
  • Develop and complete weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Develop and execute projects, processes, and procedures to enhance supply chain operations
  • Assist in process improvement and digitalization initiatives
  • Lead system enhancements, testing, and rollouts (LMS, ERP, planning tools, Power BI solutions)
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and shippers
  • Assess vendor operations and enforce compliance with quality standards
  • Prepare, report, and communicate inventory metrics. Analyze and measure their impact and report to management
  • Work with procurement, logistics and IT departments to enhance service delivery
  • Optimize retail and lab usage of supplies to cut down spend and implement controls
  • Conceptualize large-picture projects and foresee challenges and needs to be addressed
  • Maintain and share knowledge across the business regarding supply chain systems and processes
  • Develop best practices to improve supply chain data, information and processes
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, productivity improvement, and cost savings
  • Maintain databases using Microsoft Office programs and other programs relevant to company processes
  • Document processes and contribute to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and supply chain governance standards

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field
  • Combination of education and/or equivalent work experience in a related field
  • 1-3 years’ experience in inventory management or supply chain operations
  • Solid understanding of supply chain processes to include procurement, planning, logistics, and inventory
  • Strong systems knowledge; demonstrated experience with WMS & LMS
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP is a plus
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks; forklift license required
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Excellent attention to detail, in-depth understanding of delivery processes, and exceptional analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Solid computer knowledge to include Microsoft Office Suite of programs; advanced Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau or similar data analysis tools

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization through written and two-way verbal communication
  • Able to read and write at a high school graduate level
  • Able to lift and move heavy items up to 50 pounds

    Able to sit, stand, lift, and bend for extended periods of time
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
  • Able to operate various office equipment (e.g., personal computer, telephone, fax machine, copier, etc.)
  • Able to work normal and/or extended (evenings, nights and weekends) office hours to meet established deadlines
  • Able to travel independently to support Company objectives and personal development
  • Must be available to work in-person at warehouse location in Clinton Twp., MI
