Injection Molding Technician
Birmingham Search Group is partnering with a leading automotive manufacturer to hire Injection Molding Technicians for 2nd and 3rd Shift opportunities.
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00/hour
Shift: 2nd & 3rd Shift Available
If you have experience with injection molding equipment, mold changes, robotics, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities- Perform mold and die changes on injection molding machines safely and efficiently.
- Set up robotic tooling, machine programs, and robot programs for production.
- Verify machine setups and ensure all operating conditions meet quality and production standards.
- Troubleshoot injection molding machines and production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Perform minor process adjustments, including pressure, temperature, speed, and feed rates to maintain product quality.
- Support production by resolving machine, process, and scheduling issues.
- Program and adjust three-axis and six-axis robots as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and other projects as assigned.
- Minimum 2 years of Injection Molding Technician or Mold Setup experience
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
- Experience changing molds and setting up injection molding equipment
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Automotive manufacturing experience
- Experience with Yushin or Star robots
- Familiarity with Meiki, JSW, UBE, Mitsubishi, or Krauss Maffei injection molding machines
- Experience optimizing injection molding processes and troubleshooting production issues
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequently use hands to operate tools and equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment in a production environment
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as production demands require
- $24.00 - $27.00/hour
