Description Grinder
Gage Bilt is a proud Michigan-based company, manufacturing and selling our own line of industrial riveting installation tools and accessories worldwide. As a family-run business since 1956, we have a dedicated team, with some employees having over 30 years of service. As we continue building the next generation of skilled employees, we are looking for a Grinder with hands-on experience who is interested in continuing to develop their skills and grow with our team.
PositionDetails
- Full-Time
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level
- Overtime may be available after training, depending on business needs

We are considering candidates ranging from lower-level grinders with some hands-on experience to more experienced grinders.
Experience or knowledge in the following areas is preferred:
- Ability to read blueprints
- Surface grinding
- Cast qualifications
- Dressing grinding wheels, including flat and radius
- Understanding of I.D. and O.D. grinding
- Use of standard measuring equipment, including micrometers and bore gauges
- Understanding of different grades and grits of grinding wheels and their appropriate applications
- Understanding of micro finishes and GD&T tolerancing, including concentricity, radii, squareness, roundness, and run-out
Job Responsibilities
- Operate various grinding machines for production and modification of existing parts
- Follow all process documentation and work instructions
- Use standard measuring equipment to ensure parts meet blueprint specifications
- Work with the Quality Department to ensure parts meet requirements
- Follow all safety rules and practices
- Demonstrate good dexterity and hand‑eye coordination when handling small parts
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Approximately 1–5 years of experience in relevant grinding applications preferred
- Pay will be based on demonstrated grinding experience and skill level
