We're recruiting a Production Team Lead for a growing non-automotive manufacturer in Clinton Township, MI. This is a 1st shift, direct-hire opportunity.
In this role, you'll lead a team of six employees in the final inspection department, helping prioritize daily work, support your team, and keep production moving while ensuring finished products meet quality standards.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys leading by example, supporting their team, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Lead and support a team of approximately six employees in the final inspection department
- Assign daily work and help keep production on schedule
- Ensure finished products meet quality standards before shipment
- Coach, support, and motivate team members
- Communicate daily production priorities and help remove obstacles
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing tools, including Gemba boards, to help monitor production
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment
- Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience as a Production Team Lead, Manufacturing Lead, Group Leader, Shift Lead, or similar leadership role
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize work and keep production moving efficiently
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Gemba boards is preferred
