CNC Manual Bridgeport Operator​/Machinist

Job Description

The CNC Manual Bridgeport Operator/Machinist plays a critical role in precision machining, utilizing expertise in CNC programming, setup, and operation of Bridgeport Mills with Accurite controllers. Working within a medium-sized team and reporting to the Shop Foreman, this position demands strong analytical skills and attention to detail to produce high-quality parts by reading blueprints and maintaining machinery. The role offers opportunities for skill development and does not require travel.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CNC Bridgeport Mills with Accurite Controller
• Set up machines and perform routine maintenance
• Modify parts and materials to optimize production
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accuracy
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring tools
• Maintain quality control standards throughout production

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of machining experience
• Familiarity with machine tools and equipment
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years in CNC machining and programming
• Experience operating Bridgeport mills
• Proficient in blueprint reading and precision measuring
• Machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills
• Effective problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail and accuracy
