Role Overview

As a Nurse Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). You will assist in patient care, respond to emergent situations, and contribute to the overall well-being of those we serve. What You Will Do

• Perform specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs.
• Provide input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.
• Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.
• Participate in your own continuing education to enhance your skills and knowledge.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (e.g., Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician) OR
  • currently enrolled in a nursing program with successful completion of the Fundamentals of Nursing course OR
  • Foreign trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license OR
  • Medical Assistant program with or without experience OR
  • At least one year of previous experience in a similar role.

Preferred Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred.
